The Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple is situated in Berkeley, on the southern edge of Wollongong in Australia, about 80 kilometres (50 miles) south of Sydney. Nan Tien is a satellite temple of the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist order from Taiwan, established in 1967 by Hsing Yun, with more than 120 branches globally. It is among the biggest Buddhist temples in the southern part of the world.
